After getting on snapchat and seeing an old friend back home say nigga 1 too many times… It’s just really annoying because I’ve experienced too much racism from non black people of color in the past….
idk it’s just so annoying when people use the “if black people don’t want other people to say nigga then they should stop using it” argument…
First of all, it was a word that we reclaimed! It was used to break us and we took it back as a way to survive our oppression.
And I really hate the “well it’s in hip hop culture so the younger generation just sees it as a trend” argument…
First of all, no.. That’s a cop out. That argument is used to lessen the idea of black people getting upset over non black people using the word. It’s like saying we are overreacting because everybody is doing it….
Like there are so many words in the English language and yall wanna say nigga so bad but still hate black people… Gtfo…
When it all boils down to it NOBODY wants to be black until it’s time to say nigga…
